Foreign conviction deemed to be a CMT and ineligible to receive IVs
Often, the IV applicant may have foreign conviction for foreign crimes which make them ineligible to receive Immigrant Visas. Embassies will investigate and refer to the Investigation/Fraud Section, but the problem is they often reach wrong conclusions regarding foreign convictions and CMT analysis. It can be a big pain to persuade them that the IV applicant is not ineligible to be issued an Immigrant Visa.
